Bzzzzzzzzzzzzz - Giveaway

Happy  Friday! We are having a seriously early spring in Oregon. No matter where you go, blooms are everywhere. All of the trees have awoken and it is beautiful. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that old man winter continues to stay away so that the plants and trees are not damaged from their early awaking. It is hard to believe from looking outside that March 1 is only two days away. It feels and looks more like late April/early May.

The birds are screaming this morning. I put out a new suet feeder yesterday and the party has begun! They are so fun to watch. On Monday, I couldn't help myself and worked in the flower garden and the bees have arrived! I guess the scents of the flowers have them searching out fresh food. I've been busy as a bee as well making free-form bees for my students taking my EPP Mystery Block of the Month. You never know when the teacher will be gifting goodies that can be added to a future block. :)

Okay, today's the day to leave a comment if you would like to win Edyta Sitar's Friendship Strips & Scraps book. In the comment section, please let me know what you have taught to another person whether it be online via a blog or in person. Please make sure I have a way to get a hold of you should you win. Only one person wrote a few weeks back about the giveaway. I'm hoping that there are others interested as well, but perhaps everyone has already purchased this particular book. It is an awesome one for sure. I will draw a winner tomorrow morning before I leave to teach.

Good luck!

  1. Gosh those bees are stunning. I'd love to learn how you make them. Gorgeous.

BTW - do you know there is a page on my blog with a linky where you can share giveaways? Under my blog header CLICK > EVENTS > GIVEAWAYS AND CONTESTS . Good way to increase visibility of such.

  2. Last week I taught a friend a quick way to make potholders from leftover bits of fabric. She wanted to learn so she can make them with some young girls in her extended family. Edyta's book looks lovely, she is such a talented quilt maker!

  3. Bees! I love the bees! How do they work? They're brilliant!

I made a teacosy for my mum for Christmas; when I showed it to my Quilt Club friends I was asked how to make it, so I wrote them my first quilting tutorial ever!

  5. My love is free motion quilting. I've taught my own designs, but more importantly how to start off with a design and all the ways to vary it to make it your own.

  7. Her quilts are awesome and I would love to win the book. I have taught my GD how to do several things related to quilting and she is excited about sewing! Which makes me very happy.
